Speech therapy for Northern NJ kids — small caseloads, big growth

Speech therapy that comes to your child — at home, school, daycare, or online.

You may be looking for support if your child is…

Therapy is personalized to your child's unique communication style, learning pace, and goals — in a setting where they feel most comfortable.

Services

  • Child with short hair playing with toy sea animals on a white surface near a sink with a silver faucet, surrounded by various plastic sea animal toys including a starfish, turtle, dolphin, octopus, and crab.

    Speech & Language Evaluations

A closer look at how your child communicates — and what comes next.

Evaluations begin with a thoughtful conversation with you, followed by time spent getting to know how your child communicates in person.

Instead of relying heavily on standardized tests, I use child-centered, descriptive assessment tools to understand your child’s strengths, needs, and communication style.

After the evaluation, you’ll receive clear recommendations, and together we’ll decide on the setting that makes the most sense for your child and family — whether that’s at home, school, daycare, or online.

    In-Home Speech Therapy

Play-based support in the comfort of home.

In-home sessions are child-centered and play-based, creating a natural, low-pressure environment where communication can grow through movement, connection, and meaningful interaction.

Each session is designed around your child’s unique strengths and interests to help build confidence and support progress in everyday life.

    School & Daycare-Based Therapy

Support in the places your child already learns and plays.

Therapy sessions at school or daycare are built into your child’s regular routine, which can help support carryover in real-life moments with teachers and peers. Using the same playful, personalized approach, sessions are designed to feel natural, engaging, and connected to your child’s daily environment.

  • Colorful plastic lion and hippopotamus toys on a light surface, with other toys and objects in the background.

    Teletherapy

Online speech therapy that keeps kids connected and engaged.

Teletherapy offers a flexible option for families who prefer virtual support or are outside the in-person service area. Sessions are interactive, personalized, and designed to keep your child engaged while still using a child-centered, relationship-based approach from home.

Tiffany Rodriguez, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist and the owner of Speech Therapy Wheelhouse, a child-centered speech therapy practice serving families in Northern New Jersey. I originally planned to work with adults, but after my first pediatric placement, I realized my true passion was helping young children learn to communicate with confidence through play, connection, and everyday routines.

I specialize in working with children with speech and language delays, including gestalt language processing, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), speech sound disorders, and developmental language delays. Instead of taking a “one-size-fits-all” approach, I’ve invested in advanced continuing education so I can provide evidence-based, highly individualized therapy that fits each child’s unique profile and learning style.

Before starting my own practice, I worked in schools and private clinics, where I often saw large caseloads, quick sessions, and limited time for collaboration with families. Over time, I felt that children and parents needed something different: more time, more intention, and more support. That’s why I created Speech Therapy Wheelhouse—to offer high-quality, personalized speech therapy where every session feels meaningful, focused, and manageable for families.

I intentionally keep my caseload small so I can truly get to know each child and family and be responsive to their needs. Sessions are play-based, engaging, and rooted in connection, because children make the most progress when they feel safe, understood, and motivated. Together, we work on functional goals that matter at home, at school, and in the community, while also giving parents practical strategies they can use between visits.

My goal is not just to help children say more words or produce clearer sounds, but to help them feel confident being themselves when they communicate—with their families, teachers, and peers. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, evidence-based, and child-friendly approach to speech therapy, I’d be honored to support your child’s communication journey.
